DSI designed India’s first indegenously developed underwater Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras back in 2012. Since then, the design has continuously evolved into a state-of-the-art machine that rivals any competition from the western world. DSI’s indigenous production of the underwater operable and fully submersible pan tilt and zoom camera was a revolution in itself. It is designed for use in hazardous and corrosive environments like seawater, sewer water and industrial wastewater.

 

Extremely high durability and ruggedness combined with all-weather operation capability especially for underwater scenarios provides us great future opportunities in Coast Guard, Navy, military and homeland security applications. We are already using these cameras for Marine inspections and it has been installed on our marine work-class robots for underwater observation purposes. Designed for the Indian environment, these industrial grade underwater cameras have been made for heavy use in survey, Marine, inspection & surveillance applications of water & wastewater assets.

 

All OWL Cameras have rugged metallic enclosures and include white light LED that helps provide full color video in total darkness.

OWL Pan-Tilt (PT) Cameras

The OWL PT cameras have been designed for use with smaller crawlers specifically the MicroLITE and MiniLITE series. These cameras with their small size (Ø72 x 175mm) can enter pipes as small as Ø100mm on a skid and Ø150mm with a crawler.

 

Though small in stature, the camera packs a punch with its all metal design capable to handle the harshest of environments and the capability to transmit HD quality full color observation class video (1080p) in real-time. With adjustable Pan and Tilt speeds, the camera is able to locate its target precisely. The camera supports continuous 360° rotation (panning motion) and 225° tilt range with automatic centering.

 

The camera has integrated White LED lighting for zero visibility scenarios like pipelines, underground reservoirs, et cetera, and provides full color video. Infrared LED lighting is neither required nor recommended but is available for any specialized application if required.

OWL Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) Cameras

The OWL PTZ cameras enhance the capability of the Pan-Tilt cameras by adding an extra zoom functionality enabling the inspection of larger areas & pipe sizes. With a 10x optical zoom, OWL PTZ cameras are housed in an metallic enclosure measuring at Ø94 x 204mm.

 

Like their smaller counterpart, they are still able to transmit high resolution HD full color video (HD-TVI 1080p) in real time. The all metal design enables the camera to handle the harshest of environments. With adjustable Pan, Tilt & Zoom speeds, the camera is able to locate its target precisely. The camera supports continuous 360° rotation (panning motion) and 225° tilt range with automatic centering. The camera supports the Auto-Focus feature that greatly supports the operator. However, it also has the option to switch to manual focus which is sometimes required when the operator needs to focus on an isolated patch of greasy deposits.
